The movie Sully can teach financial advisors a lot about handling a crisis. Most of us know the basics of the movie’s story: an Airbus 320 piloted by Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger hits a flock Canadian geese shortly after takeoff from New York’s LaGuardia Airport. With both of the plane’s engines disabled, Sully had 208 seconds to diagnose the emergency, take corrective action, prepare for the landing, and safely land the jet on the Hudson River, saving all 155 passengers and crew.
